Naval Striking and Support Forces NATO (STRIKFORNATO) is NATO’s premier Maritime Battle-staff and the Alliance’s primary link for integrating US Maritime Forces into NATO operations.

Managed by a Memorandum of Understanding comprising of 11 Nations, STRIKFORNATO is a rapidly deployable, Maritime Headquarters that provides scalable command and control across the full spectrum of Alliance fundamental security tasks.

On 2 and 3 December 2014 Naval Striking and Support Forces NATO (STRIKFORNATO) hosted the 2nd annual Maritime Expeditionary Operations Conference (MEOC 2014) in Oeiras, Portugal. The main team for this year’s conference was Delivering Maritime Expeditionary Power in Support of Deterrence for a Prepared NATO.

From 23 October through 9 November, several staff officers from the Headquarters, Naval Striking and Support Forces NATO (STRIKFORNATO) participated as members of the Fleet Headquarters for Exercise BOLD ALLIGATOR 14, the largest Amphibious exercise on the United States East Coast.

Visit of STRIKFORNATO MOU Ambassadors in Portugal

Oeiras, Portugal - On 28 September 2014, the Ambassadors in Portugal of Naval Striking and Support Forces NATO - Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) visited the headquarters of STRIKFORNATO. The delegation was warmly received by the Deputy Commander Rear Admiral Tim Lowe, Royal Navy UK, Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations, Rear Admiral Juan Garat, Spanish Navy and by their Senior National Representatives.
