Naval Striking and Support Forces NATO (STRIKFORNATO) is NATO’s premier Maritime Battle-staff and the Alliance’s primary link for integrating US Maritime Forces into NATO operations.

Managed by a Memorandum of Understanding comprising of 11 Nations, STRIKFORNATO is a rapidly deployable, Maritime Headquarters that provides scalable command and control across the full spectrum of Alliance fundamental security tasks.
 

STRIKFORNATO Stands Up As First Joint Headquarters (Maritime/Expeditionary)

Oeiras, Portugal – Naval Striking and Support Forces NATO (STRIKFORNATO) officially assumed the duties as the first Joint Headquarters Maritime/Expeditionary (JHQ M/E) on 1 July 2014, and is on ‘standby' status for quick activation if required by SACEUR.

On 12 February 2014 Deputy Commanding General 2nd Marine Expeditionary Brigade, Brigadier General John Love, United States Marine Corps, visited Naval Striking and Support Forces NATO (STRIKFORNATO), and was welcomed by STRIKFORNATO Chief of Staff, Rear Admiral Brad Williamson, United States Navy, and Director of Support, Colonel Pete Yeager, United States Marine Corps.
