Managed by a Memorandum of Understanding comprising of 11 Nations, STRIKFORNATO is a rapidly deployable, Maritime Headquarters that provides scalable command and control across the full spectrum of Alliance fundamental security tasks.

Oeiras, Portugal - On 21 November 2014, the Headquarters, Naval Striking and Support Forces NATO (STRIKFORNATO) received Rear Admiral Anders Grenstad, Swedish Navy, currently posted as the Deputy Chief of Operations for the Swedish Armed Forces.

Oeiras, Portugal - On 28 September 2014, the Ambassadors in Portugal of Naval Striking and Support Forces NATO - Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) visited the headquarters of STRIKFORNATO. The delegation was warmly received by the Deputy Commander Rear Admiral Tim Lowe, Royal Navy UK, Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations, Rear Admiral Juan Garat, Spanish Navy and by their Senior National Representatives.

Oeiras, Portugal - On 30 September 2014, the Defense Attaché to the Spanish Embassy, Captain Juan Diaz Del Rio, the Defense Attaché to the Turkish Embassy, Lieutenant Colonel Bahadir Yalçin and the Liaison Officer to the Defense and Military Attachés, Captain José Damasio Afonso visited Naval Striking and Support Forces NATO (STRIKFORNATO).

Oeiras, Portugal - On 18 and 19 September, 2014 the Deputy Chief of Staff (Plans), Allied of Joint Force Command Naples, Major General Rob Weighill, British Army, visited the headquarters of Naval Striking and Support Forces NATO (STRIKFORNATO). Major General Weighill was welcomed by the Deputy Commander Rear Admiral Tim Lowe, Royal Navy (UK).
